Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, contact us at .
1. Who we are
is run by , based in (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Clubs and coaches who use the app decide which players to invite and what to record about them. They are responsible for using the app fairly and for telling their players (and the parents of younger players) about it.
2. What we collect
| Type | What it includes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and we never see them. | You, when you sign up |
| Age and consent | Whether you’re 16 or older, the date you agreed to this policy and our terms, and for players under 16 the name and email of the parent or guardian who agreed. | You (and your parent or guardian) |
| Club membership | The clubs you belong to, your role (player or coach), shirt number and position. | You and your coaches |
| Your logs | Meals with calories, protein, carbs and fat; workouts with type, length and notes; whether you can make a session and the reason if not. | You |
| Coach records | Attendance, session ratings, season stats, daily nutrition targets, training plans, feedback and instructions, and whether you confirmed them. | Your coaches |
| Club content | Session times and places, announcements and match-day squads. | Coaches |
| Payments | If you subscribe a club: your name, email, billing address, the club reference and whether payment succeeded. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach us. | You, through our payment provider’s checkout |
| Usage | The last day you used the app, so we can see how many people are active. Separately, we count how many times our pages are opened each day as a total only, with no cookies, identifiers or personal details attached. | Your use of the app and website |
| Technical | Sign-in tokens and a note of the last club you opened, stored in your browser. Our hosting and database providers process your IP address and basic device information to deliver the service and keep it secure. | Your browser and device |
Food logs can reveal information about your health. Because of this we ask for your explicit agreement before your logs are shared with coaches, and you can withdraw it at any time (see section 8).
3. Food scanning with AI
If you choose to scan a meal photo or use a description to work out nutrition, the photo or text is sent to Google’s Gemini AI service through Firebase AI Logic so it can estimate the food and its nutrition. We don’t store the photo. The estimate is shown to you to check before you save it.
Google processes this content under its own terms. Depending on the plan we use, Google may keep this content for a limited time and may use it to improve its services. For this reason, food scanning is only offered to people who have told us they’re 16 or older. Don’t include people or personal details in meal photos.
4. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
- To provide the app: running your account and clubs, saving what you log, showing coaches and players the information described below. Legal basis: performing our agreement with you (our terms of use).
- Sharing your logs with your coaches: legal basis: your explicit consent, which you give when you sign up.
- Players under 16: we rely on the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Keeping the service secure and preventing misuse: legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
- Billing club subscriptions: legal basis: performing our agreement with the club owner.
- Meeting legal obligations, for example responding to lawful requests and keeping payment records for tax.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use your data for advertising or profiling.
5. Who can see your data
- You can see everything about you in the app.
- Coaches of your clubs can see your logs, availability, attendance, ratings, stats, targets, plans and feedback. A club’s owner can make other members coaches.
- Other members of your club can see your name, shirt number, position, role, announcements and squad selections. They cannot see your logs, ratings, plans or feedback.
- Our service providers process data on our behalf to run the app:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Firebase AI Logic / Gemini). Your data is stored in Google’s location.
- (taking subscription payments, handling sales tax, and managing billing for club owners).
- GitHub (hosting the website files).
- Google Fonts (serving the typefaces the website uses).
Some of these providers are based in, or may access data from, the United States. Where data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, they protect it with approved safeguards such as the UK–US Data Bridge, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
6. Children
Players under 16 can only create an account if a parent or guardian agrees and gives us their name and email. We may contact that parent or guardian about the account. If you’re a parent or guardian and want to see, change or delete your child’s data, contact us at . Food scanning with AI is not offered to under-16 accounts.
7. How long we keep data
- We keep your data while your account is open.
- When you delete your account in the app, your profile and the data stored about you in your clubs are deleted straight away. Messages you posted to a club as a coach stay with the club but your name is removed. Copies in our providers’ systems are removed within about 30 days.
- When a club owner deletes a club, everything in that club is deleted.
- Payment and invoice records are kept by our payment provider and us for as long as tax law requires, usually 6 to 7 years.
- If a coach removes you from a club, what you logged there stays with the club until the club deletes it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access your data: use Download my data in the app, or ask us;
- correct it: edit your details in the app, or ask your coach or us;
- delete it: use Delete my account in the app;
- take it with you: the download is a standard JSON file;
- withdraw consent: leave a club or delete your account. This doesn’t affect anything done before you withdrew;
- object to or restrict how we use your data;
- complain to a data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU it’s the authority in your country.
To use any of these rights, contact us at . We’ll reply within one month.
9. Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use third-party analytics. The app stores your sign-in session and a note of the last club you opened in your browser’s local storage, because the app can’t work without them. To count visits without counting the same tab twice, we keep a short-lived note in your browser’s session storage that is deleted when you close the tab. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we don’t count your visit at all. Google Fonts and our hosting provider receive your IP address when they deliver files to your browser.
10. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored by Google Cloud. Database rules on the server make sure each person can only read and change what they’re allowed to. For example, players can’t see each other’s logs and can’t change their own ratings. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we’ll tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make an important change, we’ll update the date above and ask you to agree again the next time you sign in.
